Goin Through The Breweries (Hampshire County #2) Brew Practitioners

Goin Though The Breweries (Hampshire County #2)

Hello and welcome to another edition of "Goin Through The Breweries". I thought today I would look at a place that unlike other places I've looked at throughout this series, I've been on many occasions. There is a lot to talk about with this place, but first let' get to know some information about this place

Background:
Starting in 2014, Brew Practitioners has been a female led facility led by a group of friends who have shared a love of beer and even took trips to Munich for Oktoberfest before opening up the brewery. They've always strive for simplicity to make for a more memorable experience. I've spent many Thursday nights at this place from the early days of the place to more recently since Trivia Thursdays was a regular part of their event schedule. The host Bill was such a funny guy and I liked the way he formatted it as well.

The Brewery:

I kind of dig the interior of it, you can tell this use to be a car shop by the big doors near the bathroom. It's a small, upbeat area. I was actually at a special event where a portion of sales for a specific brew (which I'll get to shortly) were gonna go for a Relay For Life event and I'm surprised there wasn't more of a crowd. There is a telephone booth on the right side of the bar that gets a direct line to the pizza shop nearby which is a great addition and I'm surprised more breweries don't offer that.

The Beer:

Here is where things get a little more iffy. Let's start off with the names of these beers. I know they want to go for names that can be easily remembered, but using the names of colors for beers is about as basic as you can get. Iron Duke has had the right idea with names that can make you giggle and be easily remembered. Creativity can be just as good as going down to the basics. I started out with their amber ale called "Red" and it wasn't very standout to me. I haven't been the biggest fan of it and this one doesn't really change my mind. Next I tried out their "Pink Boots" and I thought that it was the best one of the bunch. Not overly hoppy, just the right amount with a bit of citrusy flavors to balance things out nicely. Even their second IPA I tried (Yellow) wasn't half bad either The stout however was a disappointment. I've had this one before and just like then, I came to the same conclusion: It's too sweet. Tasted a bit too sugary. The next one I had  was their Brown Ale was just too syrupy for me Nothing to really balance it out. it seems their best stuff is within their IPAs (shocker).

Final Thoughts:
This seems like a nice hangout spot after a long day at work and you wanna just chill out with friends. There is always some sort of event going on most weeks whether it's game days, open mics, or small scale concerts. The beer you can take or leave, but when they do special kinds, it's always something creative. Heck, I remember when they did a cherry lime beer one time, so hey aren't afraid to really go out there. Another thing to be aware of is parkng can be a headache since it's on a main road, so side street parking is really the only way to go. But overall, I'll give this a ***/*****

Thanks for reading and next time, we'll be doing our second edition of "The Beer Fest Report" at the UBeer Fest. Sorry for the wait this time, I'll promise this next one will come quicker. But until then, this is Andrew saying Cheers to you!
